Soundproofing made easy with TECSOUND TUBE S

Poor sound insulation diminishes the value of property exposed to neighbourhood noise by 10% to 20%, making acoustics an essential factor of success in both new build and refurbishment scenarios. Understanding the need for architects, promoters, designers and building companies to improve the quality of life and comfort in buildings – from residential properties to schools and community centres – SOPREMA makes sure our soundproofing systems are constantly evolving in harmony with market expectations and current standards. Our investments in R&D guarantee that we can offer the best solutions to reduce noise pollution to an absolute minimum. Recently, we have added a new product to our range of acoustic insulation materials: TECSOUND Tube S.

Expanding the TECSOUND soundproofing offer

When it comes to soundproofing, TECSOUND remains one of our most popular product ranges, besides PAVATEX. The TECSOUND acoustic solutions are known for their outstanding adaptability to surfaces, and we are now maximising that product characteristic with TECSOUND Tube S, a soundproofing complex with self-adhesive strips for positioning and overlapping, making installation easier.

The rolls, which consist of TECSOUND membrane bonded to a non-woven porous polyester fleece, can be used to insulate all types of wastewater pipes in commercial and residential buildings – from PVC and fibre cement to metal pipes – and are suitable for new-builds and refurbishment jobs. Each roll can be quickly installed directly on the pipe to reduce both airborne and impact noise, from structure-borne noise along the duct to the water passing through the pipe.

TECSOUND Tube S ensures vibration damping and structural noise attenuation, and it comes with other advantages, too:

  • easy handling and cutting thanks to its limited thickness
  • no cracking or breaking at low temperatures
  • suitable for use in confined spaces thanks to its flexibility and adaptability to elbows and branches
  • excellent ageing resistance

Laboratory tests report compliance with the EN 14366 standard.

Soundproofing insulation: standards

Next to a laboratory-tested performance, our insulation systems are certified, so their acoustic performance and quality is beyond question. Moreover, they meet the necessary standards in other fields. The LEED certification of our insulation materials testifies to their eco-friendliness, while they are also fire and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) classified.
